Repairs

This is a demonstration on what can be done for a knife with a broken or bent tip. A pretty extreme example I know, but I wanted to show the process I go through to reprofile a blade. It’s very similar to the one I did here.

This is a pretty cheap knife. In the real world I would suggest to the customer that it’s not worth repairing. However, what if it’s your favorite knife or maybe has some sentimental value to you? Maybe it was your grandmother’s?

John was able to sharpen and repair a chip in a large Chef’s knife and sharpened and repaired the broken tip of a paring knife. Both knives are now like new and cut wonderfully!

Bring it in and let me evaluate it. It could be a simple fix to get that knife back up and running and looking better than ever.
